on this delightful last evening of 2009, i have spent it with my wonderful sister, my awesome bro n law, and my precious niece. Amber and i planned to make an incredibly yummy dinner which consisted of wings, and roasted veggies...and was YUMMY!!!!! after dinner we enjoyed an AMAZING cup of coffee and then played for a bit with Bailey for a bit. after bales went to bed Amber and i creatively designed our list of things for 2010. let's just say...we had a BLAST!!! it was fun to get our creative side on!!! another thing that made it perfect was that we were listening to an acc team win the chick fil a bowl! yay!

i hope that you all had a wonderful time ringin in the new year!!!

happy new year!!!!!

Changes

Change- I have had a lot of that lately...and I love every bit of it!
As I look ahead to 2010, I am excited to see what it will hold! Tonight, my sister and I are going to write out our goals/ intentions for the year. Things that we want to accomplish and things that we look forward to. 2009 was a good year, but I know that 2010 is going to be GREAT! I look forward to all the adventures and opportunities that 2010 will hold!
I love this quote:
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised that it'd be worth it."
So, with that, I know that 2010 is going to be awesome...some things may not be easy, but in the end, they will be worth it!
Looking forward to sharing my 2010!

Hair

So, today, I will do something that I have never done before. I am going to get low lites in my hair. I am nervous yet excited. Nervous because I have always been a plain blonde, but I think I am more excited because I keep texting Natalie to move up the time...and I am getting impatient. :)

Itchy

Just a few more days till we will ring in the new year! As 2010 creeps up on us, I am diligently thinking about what things I want to accomplish and set in motion for 2010...

Onto the itchy...so, on Saturday night I noticed my arm itching a little bit...I figured it was the bracelet I was wearing since I am allergic to certain kinds of jewelry. Well, I got up on Sunday and I had itchy and bumps on one arm...that night it was over both arms...mom said it is hives and so I have been racking my brain to figure out what could be causing this. I am using a new bodywash, but it is an organic bodywash...so not sure if it's that. I got detergent, but it is the same stuff I usually use, just a new jug. I am using a new lotion, but again, it is organic. I have used these things for the past couple of weeks too. The reason I am blogging about the itchiness is because at 3:30 this morning I woke up to my arms, and legs itching like crazy. I decided to go to the store to get some benedryl or cortizone...I hope into my car, drive to the store...at 3:30 AM...and the store is closed. So it is now 5:30 and I have had a shower, drank my coffee, made breakfast, and am now just sitting on the couch watching a recorded Hallmark movie.

My alarm just went off...time to get up for work :)

I took my Christmas decorations down last night. It took about 20 minutes to deornamentize the tree, put take the tree apart and then put all the trimmings in the box. Until next year...

Well, I am going to sit and enjoy my last hour before I head off to work

And finally...a new post!

So, a lot has been happening since I last blogged. I have completed a semester of online classes...yay!!! I am so thankful that I am able to take classes, work, and do many other things! I love having deadlines! It is a good push for me!! Work is going dandy! I am getting the hang of all the payroll stuff...yes, there have been some mishaps, but I am looking at them as learning experiences so that I do not do it again...thankfully, they are only minor mishaps! :)
This may sound kind of corny, but as I was watching the movie Evan Almighty the other night, God(played by Morgan Freeman) really spoke to me. No, Morgan Freeman was not the one who spoke to me, it was the Lord thru Morgan...hah. Okay...so he makes the comment to Evan's wife that you may pray and ask God for courage, but He is just not going to give you courage, He is going to put you in a position where you need to be courageous...or, you may ask God for patience, but He is not going to give you patience, He is going to put you in a position where you need to have patience...WOW! Right after he said that I knew it was really the Lord saying, "Hello, Ashley...you need to be courageous...I put this in front of you, but you have to work for it...I am not just going to give it to you." Okay, I got the point...I am being courageous and having patience...working on both, but doing pretty well!!! Was that corny enough for ya?!? Hah!
My sister has really gotten me into big earrings...I LOVE them! I need to go find some good deals so that I can have more!!
The most amazing thing that I have discovered is coffee by Archer Farms. They only sell it at Target...Amber and I were on a coffee run when I discovered Coconut Macaroon, Buttery Carmel, and Chocolate Peppermint coffees....YUM!!!!! Another favorite is Peppermint by Millstone! Let's just say that a cup of one of those with a spritz of ready whip on top is AHHHMAZING!!!! And since I have been eating Low Carb to shed some lbs, coffee and ready whip is a great dessert for me!!!!
Unfortunately, we did not get any snow. We were tempted with some BIG snow flakes and some ice, but other than that, Raleigh got NOTHING!!! My Granny called to rub in her 5 inches!!! No fair!
I am sooo excited that it is almost Christmas!!! This will most likely be a slow work week...only 3 days and then off for Christmas Eve and Day!!! YAY!!! I am looking forward to our family all spending the night at my parents on Christmas Eve and wearing Christmasy pj's and making gingerbread houses!! It is going to be sooo much fun with all the kids...when I say kids, I mean Will, Lilly, Ava, Bailey, Ashley, and Adam...haha. Yes, Adam and I are still kids!! lol
Well I am heading out the door to church...until next time...who knows how long that will be. Peace!
